A Bit About Me
Bonjour and bienvenue to French I and II. This year marks my 18th year teaching French in CMS, and my 14th year at Providence. Prior to Providence, I taught four years of French Immersion at Oaklawn Language Academy.
My journey with the French language began in 1995 when I was assigned to serve as a missionary in Southern Belgium, Northeastern France (including the Alsace) and Luxembourg. Arriving in Europe without the ability to speak the language was a great challenge. However, after being immersed for 17 months, I learned the language and gained a great appreciation for the people and culture. Upon returning to the States, my studies continued at North Carolina State University where I graduated with honors in French and a minor in Education. |
